This Advent season, we are exploring the faith lessons to be learned from the classic Dr. Seuss book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

Based on the book “The Heart That Grew Three Sizes,” by Matt Rawle, we’ll learn how the Grinch’s transformation, the way the Whos in Whoville responded to him, and other lessons from the story can impact the way we approach Christmas.

We’re never told why the Grinch hates Christmas, but his hate makes him try to distort the meaning of Christmas for everyone. However, the plan he concocts to steal Christmas leaves him with unmet expectations.

What are your expectations for this season?
