Come join us as we worship Jesus Christ together!
Worship service is 10:45 a.m.
(Sunday school for all ages from 9:40 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.).
We strive to grow in our personal relationships with Jesus Christ
while we nurture loving relationships with each other
and build lasting relationships with the Lawrence community.
Who is welcome?
Lawrence Central United Methodist Church welcomes all people regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, family configuration, religious background economic status or abilities. No exceptions. We believe Jesus died for all people, calls us to love all people, directs us to make disciples of all people for the glory of God. We invite all people to grow in faith with us!
What is a normal Sunday morning like at Central? What should I expect if I visit?
Expect it to feel a little bit like a family reunion, complete with “loved ones” of all ages. Expect people to welcome you and direct you to Sunday School or to the Sanctuary. Expect a worship service that lasts about 60 minutes. Expect a team of dedicated musicians and worship leaders to lead us in worship. Expect to hear a message from the Bible — God’s truth for your life. And expect to meet some new friends!
What do people wear?
From T-shirts to suit jackets, the diverse people of Central gather to worship Jesus Christ. The focus is on Jesus — not on what you wear or your ability to blend in. Whatever your appearance, you are welcome.
What kind of music do you have?
During our 10:45 a.m. worship service we seek a rich blend of various musical forms and expressions. On any given Sunday we may worship using an organ, handbells, our choir or piano. Special music is a central part of our worship.
