Central UMC believes our faith journey never ends on this earth, so we are expected to grow by reading Scripture and being in a state of continuous learning. Some of the opportunities we provide:
- Children’s Sunday School — Bible stories, prayer, crafts, games and singing are just some of the activities the children of the church enjoy starting at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday.
- Youth Sunday School — Our sixth- through 12th-graders gather at 9:30 each Sunday in the Youth Room to read the Bible, learn about Christ’s love for them and discern what the lessons from Scripture say to them in the 21st
- Adult Discipleship — This class for adults focuses on scripture. At various times through the year, the class works through books of the Bible, it may examine topics in the news, or it may dive into a wide variety of spiritual topics. Just bring your Bible and be willing to take part in discussion. The group meets at 9:40 a.m. Sundays in the church parlor, just outside the sanctuary.
- Special classes — Central UMC offers special Bible studies at various times throughout the year. Examples in recent months include a six-week study on the book of Revelation and a six-week study for either an evening or morning on spiritual disciplines. These courses are introduced on the bulletin board outside the sanctuary when they are available.
